About Vivian L. King 

Vivian L. King is an award-winning author, speaker, communications consultant and
former television journalist who wrote, “When the Words Suddenly Stopped: Finding My
Voice Again After a Massive Stroke.” The book was a bestseller after Vivian appeared
on a national TV talk show and has received awards from various organizations,
including for the production and narration of her audiobook. Vivian has now written her
first children’s book, born of her passion for being polite and inspiring children to
become good citizens.


Before founding Vivian L. King Connections, Vivian was VP of Community Relations for
the largest health care system in Wisconsin and Director of Public Affairs for the largest
retailer in Wisconsin, where she was chief spokesperson and worked closely with
developing the company’s profile on social media and awarding donations through the
company's foundation.


During her broadcast career, Vivian worked at TV stations in Alexandria, Louisiana;
Tyler, Texas; and Battle Creek, Michigan before moving to Milwaukee, where she spent
more than 10 years at the NBC affiliate. A native of St. Louis, Vivian received her
journalism degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
